the biggest advantage was the mouse real-estate that I gained. Now I can't say that I ran out of room on my desk when I get snipped. Overall good buy. I recommend it if you don't mind the clicky loudness, and would still recommend it if you plan to switch the switches and the must have dampeners to make it quieter. . PS.I immediately purchased another C1000 as for my money it's the most comfortable and high quality keyboard I've ever used. For people who live in front of the computers this thing is essential. Couldn't be happier.
This is absolutely great! I am a professional transcriptionist and have a recent history of trying keyboards after using the Microsoft Natural 4000 for years, and years. I realized it was just so big and the keys were really hard to use, so I started looking. Tried the Microsoft Surface, didn't like it at all. Priority keys were placed very oddly, and even after a couple weeks, just couldn't get used to it, was not a logical placement. Then I tried the chassepot C1000 Pro! Keys are very, very logically placed. The touch is perfect...not too hard, and not too soft.. I absolutely love it . If your doubtful, try it! PS: you'll fall in love with the Arrow keys on the left too. awesome!
I don't understand why this is not the normal layout these days. Its awesome
Wow! This is probably the best natural keyboard I've ever bought, and having worked in IT I've bought and used many! Standard keyboards are for carpal-tunnel syndrome wannabes. This is heavy-duty, and after a water pipe failure led to ruining my first one, I bought a second and couldn't be happier. Previous other brands wore out (keystrokes unresponsive etc.), this brand is the one you want.
i've tried a bunch of different keyboards and i keep realizing that the chassepot C1000 is the best. I LOVE this keyboard. It takes some getting used to but now I don't know how I lived without it. I've had it for 2 weeks and so far the durability seems great. I kind of wanted a mechanical keyboard, but this is fairly quiet which I like and yet still seems nice and responsive. I use this mostly for programming.
Well, I came to this keyboard because I bought a new laptop and, short story, the keyboard absolutely stunk. Incredibly, it is downright unusable. I have been using keyboards for DECADES, and could not stop missing the right-hand shift key and accidentally moving around in my doc because of that stupid placement of the page up key). The only quick fix for this was to buy a keyboard. Ended up with this one and it is really fantastic! I would never want to go back to being hunched over and around a regular keyboard of any sort for my work (writing). The new layout of chassepot C1000 takes a little getting used to me. For me, it took 30 seconds. This has been my work keyboard for 10 days now. I'm getting ready to buy another one for home. Highly recommended!
I got this keyboard after injuring my rotator cuff. It allowed me to continue working with as little pain as possible. I don't like the lack of a number pad, but I got the new number pad on new layout of C10OO and it works well. I am already hitting the wrong keys now on standard keyboards and I am more annoyed at how bad standard layout is when I notice why. My cat likes to lounge in the space between the keyboard and monitor, which is kind of adorable.
I would highly recommend C1000 keyboard for MOBA game player .just switch the Windows keycap with the R keycap. There is a learning curve with this keyboard, it took about 2-3 days to really get used to it, but it is worth it. Customer service is great. If you need help with anything, they are quick to respond and happy to help.
